- in the name of allah, d merciful d beneficent this is a document frm muhammad d unlettered prophet between d believers & muslims of quraish & yathrib & their followers, allies & supporters establishing tht they're one nation apart from all others. the immigration of quraish'll maintain their currect practice & will honor blood-money contracts between themselves & will treat their weaker members with kindness & justice. d benu a'uf shall maintain their current practice & honor their former blood-money contracts each party treating their weaker members with kindness & justice among all believers (names mentioned). d believers'll not leave anyone among'em burdened by debts without giving to him in kindness & paying for him any ransom money or blood-money he owns. a believer'll not alley with any freed man of a second believer against tht man. pious believers'll act against any of their own who practice evil or seek to bring harm, sin, aggression or corruption among believers. believers'll unite with anyone doing this even if he be one of their own sons. no believer shall kill any believer for any nonbeliever nor shall he help any nonbeliever against a believer. allah's protection's all one d least of'em can offer protection to others. believers're allied to one another excluding other. whatever jews follow us shall receive help & equality. they'll not be maltreated nor be help will afforded to others against'em. peace for all believers's (sound problem). no peace shall be accepted for any nonbeliever to d exclusion of others whn d battle's for allah's cause. among them, equality & justice must prevail. in every expedition we engage in riders shall take terms on their mounds. believer shall avenge one another for blood shed in allah's cause. believers who're pious're well guided on d straightest of paths. no polytheist shall be offered protection for d property & protection of quraish nor try to interfere with any believer. anyone who has clearly aggressive against & caused d death of any believer'll be subject to retaliation for him unless d dead man's executor can be satisfied. believers as a whole'll take action against him & no excuse their for not doing so will acceptable. it'll not be permissible for any believer who has accepted what's in this document & who believes in allah & d judgement day to give help or shelter to any wrongdoer. any believer who does this'll be of allah's curses & anger on judgement day & neither compensation nor excuse'll be acceptable from him. any matter in which u disagree must be reffered to allah almighty & glorious is he & to muhammad s.a.w. d jews'll pay expanses along wid d muslims so long as they're allied in warfare. d jews of benu au'f are one nation with d believers. d jews'll have their religion, d muslims their own. this supplies to their freed man & to themselves except for those who commit sins & are unjust. such persons only harm themselves & their families. what applies to benu au'f shall also be applied to d jews of benu najjar, benu harith, benu sa'ada, benu jushan, benu au's, benu fa'laba, jufna & benu shutaiba. d close associates of d jews'll viewed as themselves. none of'em should go out to war without muhammad's permission. however he's not their by construing for taking revenge for injury. whoever attacks another may do so to protect himself & his family. but act not unjustly. for allah condemns such acts. d jews'll bare their own expanses, d muslims their's. each must help one another against any who fight against those who adopt this document. they must give one another advice & consultation & do good & avoid evil. a man isn't helped, blameworthy on behalf of his allies. help must be given to those wrong. d center of yathrib'll be a sanctuary for those who agree to this document. one's neighbor'll be treated as one's self. without being harmed or sin against. no property shall be encroached upon without d permission of it's owner. in d case of any dispute or incident occurring between those agreeing to this document & involving consequences likely to be harmful & to muhammad, the messenger of allah. allah acknowledges what's very good & very pious in this document. quraish & those who helped'em shall receive no protection. those who'll accept this document'll help one another against anyone attacking yathrib. if they're called upon to make peace & do so & keep to it, they'll be making peace. if they make a similar demand thn it's up to d muslims to agree, accept if d warfare's over d faith. each participant'll receive whatever portion is due to him from his own side win against. this document'll not provite protection to any sinful or unjust. whoever goes to war'll be safe, whoever leaves'll be safe, whoever stays in d town'll be safe except for those who're being sinned or unjust. allah provides protection to those who're good & pious.

- story frm wahshi (old @ tht tym) abt killing d asadullah to two of d tabe'in, "i'll narrate d story as i narrated it to rasulullah. i was a slave of jubair ibn mut'am whose uncle was tuwa'ima ibn uda'i who was struck down @ badr. whn quraish went forth to uhud jubair told me, if u kill hamza, muhammad's uncle in retaliation for my uncle's death, thn u'll b a free man. so i went out wid d warriors. i was an abyssinian & could through d spear like my countryman. i rarely miss wid it. whn d forces meet wid battle, i went forth looking for hamza to lie in raid for him. i found him ride an enormous camel, striking out viciously @ our men wid his sword. nothin withstanding him. i made use of bushes & rocks to get close to him but siba'a bin 'abud uzza got to him before me. whn hamza saw him he said, come over here d son of d woman who does circumcisions. he thn struck him a blow so quickly tht appeared to've missed his head. i thn struck him a blow so quickly tht it appeared to've missed his head. i aimed my spear carefully & whn sure of it, i held it at him. it struck him below his navel. i emerged between his legs. he tried to move towards me but was overcome. i left him wid d spear until he died. thn i went over to him. retrieved my spear & returned to camp whr i stayed. i had no business wid anyone other thn him. i only killed him to gain my freedom. later on i went back to makkah. thn rasulullah opened makkah so i had to leave & fled to ta'if whr i stayed. whn d ta'if delegation left to c rasulullah into accept islam, i didn't knw wht to do. i told to ppl tht i'll go to syria or yemen or some other country. i was in d state indecision & anxiety whn someone told me, c'mn now, i swear he'd not kill anyone who has adopted his religion & testify to d truth. so he told me tht i went to c rasullah'n d madina, surprising him by standing before him speaking d testimony of d truth. whn he saw me he said, r u wakhshi? i replied, yes o rasulullah. he thn said, sit down & narrate to me how u killed hamza. so i narrated it as i did to u both. whn i finished my account he said, wakhshi, can u remove ur face frm me? so i used to avoid rasulullah whr'd he might b so tht he wouldn't see me & eventually allah almighty & glorious's he took him to himself" - 31:30

- food was brought to abdur rahman ibn au'f (wealthiest among d muslims, millionaire). he said, "mus'ab was killed yet he was better thn me, a cloth was used as his showed. hamza was killed yet he was better thn me. while we've been granted worldy favors". he thn wiped until his food was cold - 46:25

- du'a @ uhud "o allah to u's due all praise, o allah thr's no grasping'n wht u've dispersed nor dispersing wht u grapst, thr's no guiding of right those whom u've lead astray nor any leading astray of those whm u've guided, thr's no giving of wht u've prevented nor any prevention of wht u've given. thr's no drawing close of wht u've distance nor any distending of wht u've drawn close. o allah spread forth of ur blessings, ur mercy, ur generosity & ur favors upon us. o allah i ask u those in enduring blessings tht never change nor cease. o allah. i ask u for blessings @ tym of deprivation & security @ fear. o allah i seek refuge wid u @ against evil of wht u've us as well as frm d evil frm wht u've saved us. o allah have us view faith wid favor & endure it to us well. have us view disbelieve in morality & disobedience wid antipathy, place us among those who're well guided. o allah take us to urself as muslims & give us life as muslims, place us among d virtues. not ashamed, nor demented o allah do battle wid those who disbelievers who give d lie to ur msngrs & oppose'em, torment & punish'em. o allah do battle against those disbelievers who'd given'em scriptures. o lord of truth" - 19:40
