- in one jihad, enemy king was killed. allah granted victory to muslims. they granted the booties of war. ppl were happy. a long time has passed... - 27:05
- one muslims soldier on white clothing came to the commander of the army with something wrapped up - 27:25
- saying, "commander sir, when fighting started, i killed the king & upon his head there was a crown where there was valuable diamond & ruby. i took the crown & put it with my belongings thinking that let the other belongings come to u first then i'ld give that to u. nobody knows if i have the crown or not. i brought that crown cause it's the deposit of muslims" - 28:00
- saying that he gave that crown to the commander in chief - 28:30
- when the commander in chief received the crown & looked at it, he was amazed by recognizing the value of those diamond & ruby on it that if the soldier kept it & sold it one by one, then the expense of his whole life would have been paid off & & nobody knew that the crown were with him- 28:35
- the commander in chief took the crown happily & asked, "what is ur name?" - 29:05
- that mujaid turned his back toward him to go back & said, "the allah for whose sake i returned the crown, knows my name & the name of my father" - 29:10
- meaning that... "i don't need to listen to two words of appreciation from u" - 29:40
- this is called ikhlas (sincerity) - 28:45
- one guy came to abdullah ibn mubarak r.a. saying, "i've 700 dirham debt. if u could give me that i can pay my debt & relief myself" - 40:05
- he took a paper & wrote something & said, "go to my accountant & receive the money from him" - 40:20
- he went to the accountant &when the accountant saw the paper seeing that it was written 7000 dirham on it & the person was asked for 700 dirham so he became confused saying, "i wanna verify from the master about how much i should give u. u need 700 & think by mistake extra one digit was put into & it's written 7000 here" - 40:30
- accountant came to abdullah ibn mubarak r.a. saying, "he needs 700 but u wrote 7000" - 41:05
- he said, "ok, show me the paper" - 41:15
- he replaced 7000 with 14000 & ordered to give that much to him - 41:25
- the accountant gave the money but couldn't understand so he returned to the master asking, "i couldn't understand. he needed 700. u wrote 7000. u replaced it with 14000 instead of lowering the amount when i came to ask u. what is happening here?" - 41:30
- abdullah ibn mubarak r.a. said, "i read a hadith of rasulullah s.a.w. that when a person makes the heart of a person happy suddenly, allah forgives his past sins for making the heart of the person happy. he was asking for 700, i wrote 7000 that unexpectedly he would find happiness. u ruined my work. u came to verify it. now that he is conscious of 7000, if he got 7000, he woudn't have been that much happier. so i replaced it with 14000 that he becomes happy unexpectedly so that allah would forgive my past sins" - 41:50
